How much would i gain from...
I am currently running a stock setup.
I would like to upgrade exhaust first and do intake/ carburator next or at the same time.
What would you guys suggest i do for this setup? I want to stick with a two barrel carb preferrably. Funds aren't a problem. Shoot me some ideas please.
For the exhaust i would like it to be loud when i get on it, but quieter when i am just cruising.
Thanks.

Side drafts tend to have a little more torque on the lower end, but not enough to feel. I run an OER side draft carb, Racing beat header and 2 borla mufflers. I believe you want the same set up? I cna get some in-car videos of it if you want.
I've got the RB exhaust sytem matched to a Sterling carb. Very satisfied with it, but it might not be loud enough for you... Mindtrain made an exhaust system which was substantially louder, but I'm not sure if you can even find them anymore.
Side drafts are bit more driveable and do have more torque down low due to the longer intake runners. I have a Dellorto with a RE exhaust setup from the early 90s. Header to a dual collector into two presilencers and the RE muffler out the back. This setup on my 12a netted me approximately 50 hp as speced. I never dynoed it but similiar setups have dyno sheets on here to verify that I think or close to it anyway.
Now a days I would try to get a weber dcoe brand new from RB and get the RB exhuast setup. RB makes great stuff. You'll have to jet and tune the carb yourself and deal with the MOP lines or premix yourself but its a good start for the money.

It walks my fathers Miata, and he has AEM Cold Air Intake and RB axleback. Dont know about 0-60, but I can tell a noticable difference after 5ooo rpm, the car picks up speed much faster.

RacingBeat header - 100$
Borla ProXS - 80$
Mazdaspeed Protege Muffler - 140$
Exhaust shop - 100$
This is all without supporting mods, like a bigger fuel pump/regulator/jetting.
