$2450 in the last two years, including $1200 in replacing almost every single piece of the brake system, and $600 for shocks, struts, and springs.

About another $1000 to go in the spring to finish the car and get it all running, but by then it'll have a HUGE amount of work done to it, that it'll practically be a brand new FB.

eh.. I think if I add it all up I'm about 8k now including teh price of the car...

And that is without any major engine work...

I think I'm approaching close to the halfway mark of my eventual project goal

Yeah... i almost cried when i saw my figure... i just added everything major up... this is to teh DOLLAR amount so it isn't exaggerated:
5337 Dollars...
Not bad eh? Well i got the car 5 months ago. That includes alarm... sound system (1155 alone )... all teh repairs... the paintjobs... the body kit... on and on and on...
AND it doesn't even run.
Not even counting i have already paid 850 dollars toward my turbo setup which will prolly add up to a final 2000 dollars...
Right now, i am feeling distraught. But then i think of the 7 rolling down teh street and everytime i rev up the motor i get that ever-so-gratifying *pshhh*... that thought right there keeps me going.
Plus Shane at RotaryWorks is teh coolest guy i have ever done business with.

'84 GSL-SE

$1100 - Purchase price
$250 - Four Pirelli P8000's
$25 - New power antenna
-$2500 - Sold car

So I guess I've got -$1125 into it That more than paid for registration, insurance, and fuel while I owned it.

From: Trying to convince some clown not to put a Holley 600 on his 12a.
85 GS w/ 57K and mint body- $2500
First thing I did was RB Header LP system - about $800
Blew the ring gear off the flywheel (how the ****?!...& NO, I did'nt start it while running) Used it as an excuse to purchase aluminum flywheel- $ 450 (?)
New clutch while I was at it, - $150
And if I were to pay myself for a SterlingCarb, - $320.
I added an SE diffy that I could value @ $100.
Slotted wheels in mint condition for another $200.

Thing is, it would be more, but I buy parts cars.
It is actually not until I typed all this that it dawns on me that I've spent more than 10,000 on Rx-7s & parts in order to end up with just one daily driver!

I can only justify it by the fact that I've crashed twice.
