From the pics it looks pretty clean. I paid $5000 CAD (from what I've seen on here I'm starting to think I paid too much) but mine ran just fine, and had fairly low mileage. it depends on how bad the underside and rear quarters are rusted, if it can be fixed with a lil sanding and paint than I say offer him $1000, maybe $1200. Damn thing doesn't run, if he wants more than that he's greedy and it's not worth it. Although if you need a parts car, I'll take half that interior off your hands

i hope the guy is not serious , i would buy it in a heartbeat if he werent seemingly digging for gold in a coal mine . the car dosent seem worth more then 1000 , it hasnt run in a year and it is probably carbon locked by now . i know the motor does turn over .
my only problem is he thinks cause he saw one on ebay go for a crazy amount he is goign to get the same .
the gas tank is near empty too so that mught be scrap by now and the drivers rear quarter is rusted through on the lower part

Body looks straight, paint is revivable and interior and dash area look pretty good....but dead engine means $900 tops, you are buying a rolling chassis that will prolly need everyhydraulic system reworked or replaced....clutch and brakes, those systems do not like to sit around for a year not being used, they eat up the seals...

maybe i can show this guy this thread , put some sence into him ,
the paint is fair and the only bad part is the roof , tree sap has taken a big toal on it , likewise it would still need work on the rear quarter . the seams to the rear roll pan ar also rotten
btw the car has 58K

I would go elsewhere. Over $1300 and it doesn't run? No thanks.

yeah the guy called me and asked me iff i was interested , the way he made it sound he wanted to get rid of it . knowing what i did about the car and what i have learned from this forum . i offered him 500 . he quickly shot me down , so my father inlaw offered 800 and he turned that down .
after i think about it , i kinda feel like the guy intentionally wasted my time .
coincidenally when i was looking for that one i found a terrible looking 83 worthy of being a parts car with a brown interior behind a tree in the next town over and the guy wants to give it to me lol .

If the body is in absolutely imaculate shape, like little or no rust (unlikely), then a non-running 1st gen is not worth more than $500-$600. The body and interior would have to be absolutely perfect if I were to pay any more than that.

Don't knock the free, man. I got mine for free, and now the damn thing runs and drives (limps, but moves). Looks like crap, yeah, but who cares for free, right? Might be worth looking at.

got me mint 80rx7.
lots of aftermarket parts, headers, exhaust, carb.
all from RB.

total loss vehicle, but i fixed the body myself.
its back to normal, now its time to modify it.

THOUGH MY RB EXHAUST DIDNT PASS EMMISION.
so i had to put a stock one on for the time being.

If my sig shows up, gold one for 400 dollars bad engine, very straight body with no rust, interior was complete, but a lil dirty and all new tires. White one was supposed to have the gold ones engine, but went to pick it up and saw how nice it was, just couldnt do it. Got it for 150. Id just wait for something else...
