Anyways the car I called on, the guy was an arrogant snob. I believe the owner referred to it as a work of art.

seems like he would have the potential to be snobby, I'd have to see the car and drive it before I'd even consider paying that much for a first gen, and he doesn't mention anything about the motor in the ad either.

I wonder how "preserved" the car actually is....

It COULD be worth the price -- to somebody -- if the car was ultra-pristine and ultra-original. Let's say it's the desirable GSL-SE, only 10K miles, original paint, and so on. however, with $7000 in add-ons, I kinda doubt it. Dude's probably a $2000 high mileage car with a ton of bucks sent into aftermarket crap that he's trying to reclaim.
