Cool How many seconds can a gs with A Stock Motor do in a 1/4 mile run

How Fast Will My 84 Gs Go 1/4 Mile With Stock Motor No Interior No Tar Mastic On The Floor No Door Panels And As Much As You Can Eliminate To Make It Lighter.
I Have A 48dhla Dellorto
Upper And Lower Rb Intake With Heat Sheild
Rb Header With Magnaflow Muffler
Stock Clutch
No Clutch Fan I Have Electric
For Now I Have A Stock Gs Rear But I Am Looking For A Gsl Or Gslse Rear
What Do You Think I'll Do At The 1/4

Wink

the magna flow sound very nice i like it alot it almost sounds like the rb muffler.. and the rims are diamond racing rims with 205/50/15 but next week they are coming off for weld racing rims. 3 1/2x15 fronts and 8x15 rears wrap with 135sr15 front and 205/50/15 rear

15.6-15.8 seconds depending on the driver, and how well the carb has been tuned.

However the only way is to test it, if you cant get to a track test it on a straight piece of road you have measured out with a passenger calling and timing with a stopwatch. The weight of the passenger will have about .15 second impact so the smaller the better.

i did a 15.3 in an 83 GS with:

ful RB exhaust
weber 48 IDF
no emissions
lightened flywheel and centerforce clutch

it had really crappy tires and an open differential. it was still using the clutch fan as well, and that thing was hauling. as soon as you opening the hood itd always blow your hair back or hat off. dont forget to preset the suspension using the ebrake. i tried it and it helped immensely

I was going to guess 15 seconds, but then I noticed you didn't mention the after market pedals. With those you have a 10 second car !!

The difference is Hyper4mance has a GSL-SE with a tuned Webber, plus one of the best performance bolt ons- an experienced good driver!

One other thing is that I have a 13b and you're runnuing a 12a. A stripped interior will save you about 100 lbs max, and that's good for about a tenth of a second. You're going to run mid 15's. I've never heard of a stock port 12a with ever bolt on in the world naturally aspirated running any faster than a 14.7. Better yet instead of asking take $40 to your local dragstrip buy a pop have fun and see how you run.
