GA How many are running 13" wheels?

My 79 came with 13 inch Baby Supras and i really would like to go to 15" but that 4x110 is killing me.I got to much space between tire and fender. If i lower it then i have to worry about my front spoiler. What would you do?

I am running 13" wheels. I am actually waiting on my for sale thread to hit the FS section, and then I'll post the link. I have a set of 15x7 4x110 Enkei 92's that I am selling. One has damage (should be repairable), so the price is $200. I am driving to Florida the 25th/26th, and could meet you at I-75. Link below is to my photobucket. They are the black ones with the polished lip. PM me if you're interested.

And worry about your front spoiler? What is on the front of your car? I have a set of RB springs w/ Illuminas in the front and Blue's in the rear. I have no problems with clearances.

that looks like a Kamei air dam. Get ahold of a set of ReSpeed coil overs. They will let you drop the car to your desired height.

You will have clearance problems with that chin spoiler, lowered or not. Chances are the oem springs have sagged to the level of lowering springs anyway. Installing new lowering springs probably won't lower the car any more and may in fact raise it slightly.

What are your plans for the car? Do you autocross (great fun, pay 20 bucks and borrow a helmet and suddenly you're racing)?

I prefer 13" wheels because its the cheapest and easiest way to keep your center of gravity low. But yes, the wheel/fender gap can be a problem.

As suggested by Whitey, the Respeed coilovers are an excellent performance and appearance boost. Set the ride height exactly where you want it to be, choose your own spring rates for the ride of your choice, etc. This was one of the best things I ever did for my car.

The only reason I would consider moving up to a larger sized wheel would be for improved tire selection. But for now, they have just enough choices out there to satisfy my needs.

Okay but needs good mufflers in front of it. Works great when removing discs to take on/off trailer in the neighborhood.
