how many rotary cars have you owned?

it seems like with the mazda enthusiasts, they can't get enough of their cars. i myself am 20, and owned 2 of them. would like to have a few more. my 79 is the most dependable car i've ever owned. it's a daily driver and just a dream of a car. anyways, to suppliment my last poll of what model sevens people own primarily, i'm curious to see how many cars people have gone through. be sure to include your year and model (and make, for you NSU guys!)

79 gs
84 gs

I've owned two. My first was a 1976 Mazda Cosmo which I sold back in 84. And now my 85 GS.

I started with a 1984, first gen. My first car that was, so I always enjoyed rotary engines
I continued with a 1980 and a 1982, I sold the 1980 to my dad, but still have the 1982 (a Mariah wdebody, very rare in Europe). I also had a FC (1986) but never drove it, just used it as a parts car for project I've planned
I owned a FD for about 2 weeks, because I had bought it in Germany with the purpose of selling it on to a friend.
And I own a NSU Ro80. So right now three rotary cars are on the driveway, one nearly perfect, two in need of a restoration.
As for "models": our european cars where differently named, and mostly just "rx-7"'s.

Three for me. First was a Series 2 followed by a 20B JC Cosmo. I currently own a Series 4 TII converted to Series 5 spec. The Series 2 will always be my favourite though which is why I spend most of my time in this part of the forum. I'm very tempted to get rid of the TII and do up a Turbo 1st gen. instead.

Pics of two of the beasts...

Two here...

The first car I ever owned was my '85 GSL. I bought it just after I graduated.

It was not in the best shape holes in the flour and there was some rear wheel well rust, It had sat for a while and Mice had goten in it.

I picked up the '84 GSL I have now, never winter driven and very clean. I then sold the '85 because returning it to the condition I wanted it to be in was more then the '84. So I bought it instead

my '84 GS is my first one but I am only 19 yo with plans to have more because I want one from every generation. I love my car, I take it out of town all the time and I never have problems out of my 24 case of coke sized engine. Rotory's are frickin' awesome!!!

- 85 SE just got the front brake rotors completed today and now await the calipers

i've owned 4 Rx-7's thus far, and i plan for more in the future. i started with an '82 (black with burgundy leather with a backseat!), then an '81 (rust bucket), '83 (my favorite so far) and now my '84 (the new blood).

my dream is to also own an: Rx-2, an SA22 (for restoration purposes), FC, FD and either an R100 or original Cosmo (if i can find one) at some point in the future.

on a sidenote: i just want to reaffirm my being a groupie for Revhed's cars. i'm always amazed with them, but the Gen I was my favorite car on this board and considering some of the cars i've seen here it's earned that status to me.

Ive had three 73 RX3's, one was a wagon(parts car). The first one was a rust bucket I bought in 78. The 3rd I built from the other 2 in 82 and have treasured it ever since.
