The boly I used was from the carb, I just held it to one side of the dowel and it pulled out easy, but the bottom one is a nuisance! This is the front rotor and housing that I need, and the FSM says to use the "puller". Thats great

 

some dowel pulling tool that fire85gslse and his friends made along with some other home made tools. thank god for local gurus thanks to all of youll we worked out a deal to get me an s4 engine. which will make my later build up much easier on me and the parts im going to use. ecu s4 intake port actuators and such. after my boot camp and school and i ship out the first time.

 

yeah i used an attachment on my slide hammer to grab the sa lug put and aventually got it out..

 

I have n o SA lug nut

I guess I will be heading to Home Depot tomorrow with the one dowel that is out and find a long enough bolt that screws into it. Thanks!

 

12mm x 1.5 I think.

 

^yep 12x1.5, i pulled mine by tapping each dowel and running a stock wheel bolt in it, and gently hit it upwards w/ a hammer...i aint got no puller

Pulling dowel pins. Use a lug bolt or rear control arm bolt. Find a box wrench that fits over the threads, but is smaller than the bolt head, run the bolt through the wrench into the dowel, tap it up and out with a hammer.
