How do you tell if your fan clutch is bad?
Just as the title suggests. How do you know when it goes? How do you check?
Reason: my new 84 runs a fair bit warmer than my 85 (both - SE) and everything under the hood is in much better shape. The one thing I do notice is that I can hear the fan "roar" on it that I don't remember hearing on the 85. Of course it is much quieter so it might just be that it was covered up before.
Thanks gurus..

if you dont hear the fan going on, the clutch is gone and another way to check is before you start your car in the morning pop the hood and try to turn the fan if it turn and keep turning slowly, is good but if doesn't turn what it means that is bad. it happened to me already.
