floorpan problem
i was street racing last night and as i was shifting into 8th gear i hit the 3rd naws button on wheel and my floorpan starting falling off. after it showered sparks for a while it fell off. luckily no one was hurt. is this a vibration problem or should i buy domestic?
sounds exactly like what happened to one of my friends when he was racing a guy named Vin Deisel.... turned out to be the floor pan retaining bolts had let loose from the extreme heat of the gerbils running on their Methamphetamines... maybe try cuttin down on the Meth (Naws), or run twin hamsters... might solve yer problem...
Good luck Jeremy!

Anyways, I like the chicken wire idea, I think I'm going to go out and start plasma cutting the floor out of my car, and start installing some teflon-coated aluminum chicken wire. Anyone know anything about the noise issue associated with this mod?
Oh, and by the way... for all you RICER boys... check out this page: http://www.funnyjunk.com/pages/ride.htm

Im still on the hunt for those perif ported three gerbil power plant that everyone keeps talking about. Anyone know if you can hook up a direct port naaws setup to that or would I be better off with the twin flux capacitor setup?
On the the floorpan thing u could try to use longer bolts.
peace

I tried figuring out why the floorpan woupld pop off - that's one of the least stressed parts of the car.
Then I started wondering why someone would replace light floorpan stampings with a heavy sheet of diamond plate, and not even bother welding it in for some sort of structural integrity.
Then I started wondering what the yellow topping on the popcorn was made out of...

The problem wasnt your floorboard, it was either 1 of 2 things..
1) you were granny shifting, not double clutching like you should have been
2) You didnt have enough type R stickers on that body kit.
See type R stickers and windshild washer lights is what makes the car go fast... Oh and you GOT TO HAVE a fart cannon cofee pipe muffler like everyone else in Owensboro
Man I wonder if anyone up there at Sonic or McDonalds parking lot has anything but a body kit and stickers? I know that the Flowmaster and K & N option on the Rustangs here is very popular
