But that IS the correct Airdam for an '03.5...

MSP's have so much more potential than an spec v just because they are turbocharged and they also look ahell of alot better IMO. My friend has the normal protege I told him "why would he even bother?"

That's from Mazda Canada...
Stock 2.0 Protoges only make 130hp...

I seriously doubt that little engine would take enough boost to make 490WHP...

I swear to anything...it may not have been 490 but it was like between 400-450 whp to say the least I was there when the dyno was done after the upgraded turbo and intercooler...as for stock whp with TT with 50 mm compression wheels I was shooting in the dark...but I kid you not his car has over 400whp now!!...I know that my brother in law had a 96 VW vr6 with the experimental raece engine only 500 cars made...and it had 220 whp off the line...and he put $2200 turbo with 14psi and it added 200 whp...just to put the protege in perspective...I've seen the dyno results on both of the cars to which I am speaking of....

Well, not being there in person, who am I to argue? But if he is running... what 25+lbs of boost to make that kind of power? I'd be interested to see how long the engine lasts.
Protoge's aren't known for having the stongest engine around...

If your brother in law had a VR6 race engine engine, I can see adding 200 hp safely.

But adding 300hp to the stock Protoge 2.0 block? I can't see it... not for long anyways, unless the engine has been built up a lot too.

"180 whp out of a MSP out of the box seems way hella low...I have a friend who has a titanium MSP...his came with a twin turbo setup with 2 50mm compression wheels...and it had like 380 if I can remember correctly...but what I do know now is that he got a $2000 turbo upgrade and hes pushing 490 WHP...that makes absolutely no sense that, that MSP would have 180 WHP unless it was unturboed...but other than that it should have more horsepower than a damn sentra"

Yea, but how about those new 06 eclipses! I saw one the other day while driving my DD cavalier and it bowed down with the utmost respect. Those things have like quad-turbo v12's or something and could lay waste to the entire McLaren line, I know cuz my friend told me.

Everything is true when your friend tells you, and definately its always true when your on a forum online!!
