hey guys, I'm getting kinda worried about this rust in my rear wheel wells, how bad is this? and what can i/should i do about it? I will be buying a welder very soon, if it makes a difference.

Thanks, Matt

It looks like it should hold up for a bit longer. It's ugly of course and entirely your decision on whether you want to cut them out and replace them with some decent ones from a junkyard. I would focus on the shocks before anything like wheelwells.

DEAR GOD!!!! I mean... um... that's not that bad

I'd stop driving it in wet weather and get rid of the rust ASAP. Put some naval jelly or rust converter there and then weld it up! and be sure to put a thick layer of undercoat in that area!

damn it, it is bad isn't it?

IS there a possiability of just getting some shop to do some serious welding of new metal in there or something?

Sure. Just get out the wallet and wait. Better do it now rather than later, that picture gives me the jeebies!

structurally is there a big problem, or is this just the wheelwells, Like would i just be able to cut out the rust, and try to weld new sheet metal onto the exsisting suspension parts?
