my buddy did that in his malibu, and it blew the starter to bits, the guy who told him to do it told him to start the car again, (hes a bit slow) poor guy just wanted to make his car backfire and ended up losing 130$$ for a new starter,

my 7 does some huge backfires aswell, as long as its hot enough, i get some good double looks, mikuni carbs pushin way to much gas

 

Do you guys just have stock exhausts? I bought a 79 RX-7 and I take delivery on Tuesday, and the minute I get it running I'm gonna pull out behind our shop and try a few of these tricks. Will it be better once I get my complete Racing Beat exhaust setup?

 

for sure, ive got headers, and once i pulled the catalytic c then all hell broke loose.... way more power, way louder, meter long blue flames out the back when you try hard enough
and i havent even been pulled over yet

 

I can shoot flames, little ones, when I tack it out in neutral. It's great

 

my car still has not shot flames in the year i have had it... maybe i need to richen it up a lil bit...

altho my carb needs some work right now as is, im backfiring enough to shoot flames through the open exhaust just cruising on the highway in 3rd (not a good thing)
