Horrible Bouncing.. ?

Unhappy Horrible Bouncing.. ?

well, the other day i went for a 2nd gear scratch (as always). and my rear end just started to bounce all over the place...it also bounces when i do a dump. im sure its a bad thing, but could you guys tell me what the hell is making my rear end bounce like a super ball ?

Best guess, you broke something. Suspension, shock, motor mount. I'd start there. Jack'er up and take a look-see.

How good are your tires? I have noticed that the more bald my tires get (there is maybe a hair width of tread left on them now) the more wheel hop I get when roasting them.

Hello, a bit more info on your setup might help. And have you jacked it up and confirmed that everything is still where it should be.

it might be the LSD, if you were slightly turning the diff might have locked and made the inside wheel hop. I've gotten that problem before and my car is in great shape,

well, i found out where the *squeaking* sound was coming from, and its my driver side rear wheel...i think that might have a lil bit to do with it. but imna get it jacked up toomarow and check my rear end. i was told that i might have busted my mounts...

well, i found out what the horrible bouncing is.


my lifter arms (? the part behind the rear wheels that are welded to the frame) rusted compleatly off the frame, and now my rear end is only half way on my car... i got with a welder earlier today, and i have an app setup for next thurs..ill keep you guys posted !

Yeah whatever those things are called seem to be one of the places that rusts badly on our cars. Not very cool IMO considering its "kind of" important. Let us know what all was done and how much it cost.

alright, i will...but i do know they are not called the lifter arms...its something else for what they are called...but thats whats giving me hell..both of them came off the frame. ill take pics of before and after, and during..

Actually, I think you're refering to is either the rear link, or the rear lower link - there's two on each side...

yes, that would be them....i took my car to the "rx7 man" of harrison arkansas (has got 50 parts cars up here in the middle of no where.) and he told me thats what they were called...
