Hood Scoop Idea

Hey guys ... I'm trying to make a hood scoop for my car, and i was thinking about doing the scoop as a rotor shape ... What do you guys think about this idea? I will try to draw some drawing and post them up.

That'd be some ninja stuff.

But do you mean a rotor laying on it's side? Or standing up?

It would be cool as hell if your car was black, and you did it laying on the ground the painted the rotor detail on it with really dark grey or something to where you almost couldn't see it without looking

ya sorta like the rx-8 style ... and yes the rotor would be laying down, I was thinking about shooting the whole rotor in detail with just different clear coat pearls, and at the back of it a flames design (i'm usually not a big fan of flames but the flames that i have in mind would go very well with the over all design)

I'm still working on the pictures in autocad so just bare with me for a bit.

I was thinking about the same thing. When i was talking about the alinum hood. wrap 3 sheets of metel around a rotor then place the top on it. seam it togeather and then do detailing on top of it.cut the spot out in the hood and set it in and then trim work around it. I thought that it would look sharp when done. But that is a long way away... may just get a fiberglass hood and do it.
