Hood Scoop

I want to get a hood with a small scoop for my 84, but I have been unable to find anything but stock replacments. I would rather replace the whole hood then get a scoop and try my hand at cut and paste. My preference would be a Ram Air type setup, but at this point I will consider anything.

Any suggestions?

Where?

Where is this section? I have checked several of the banner ads on this forum, and though I found many good uses for my money, I found no hoods for an 84.

As a last resort yes, but I wold rather replace the entire hood. I am even thinking that maybe a hood/fender combination unit would be good, sort of like on a 'vette. It would drop the weight and solve a few body problems I have.

jfachner, yes that hood looks good, but what I am looking to do is force cool air into the carb by venting it through a hood scoop. venting is definately something i will look at at the same time, but not the only thing i am trying to accomplish. thanks for the hit though.

Here is a related thread with some pictures of a fiberglass first gen hood with the T2 hood scoop that used to be available on e-bay.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you Mckinneyml, you are the man or woman as the case may be. Figures that the company stopped making them, but at least I have some directions to pursue.
