this car has been appearing alot lately .... could this replace that dreaded purple angel of death?... only time can tell
Looks like something I would produce one bored afternoon with a gallon of bondo.
Besides, what the hell good would it do, anyway? The carb on a rotary is offset to the passenger side...

urgh yuck.
It 's from the state of South Australia, hence the SA on the rego plate. Likely its just a little generic model some local company makes.
I trust the pic was from a Magazine article somewhere - if you can find a name of the kit supplier I might be able to find a mail address or something. Or maybe a reference for the article? Fast4s magazine?
Otherwise try NOPI or the like.
Its hard to tell but it seems a fair way back and not that large for a top mount IC duct.

Jumping to Conclusions?
Well all I can say is I know I'll need a scoop for this TII engine. Call that jumping to conclusions if you want.
The only other contender was the glass on unit by CP racing--the way I figured it that would set me back a good $400, probably more--scoop, glassing, professional paint job. Yea it looks better and more like a TII but I just couldn't swing it.
I got the WRX one for $70 and it will be a cut and bolt on affair. Should look descent and do the intercooling job. An I can handle painting it with a few cans of good spray paint and clear coat.
Yea the FMIC is better option but again cost and I have no way to run the tubes to the front--not with p/s and a/c--neither of which I'll give up.
So for me this is the best option.

I can't find any "Jump to Conclusions mat" pictures, and therefore can't make fun of myself. I think I've done a good job making an asshat out of myself, so you guys will have to make do with that

Here's a sneak preview.
Needs to be painted and flush mounted--ehh--better if I get the TII engine in first.
p.s. I had to reduce image quality to reduce the size so the forum would accept it--drag.

I have a huge front-mounted IC with 3" pipes to the intake. I did not give up my power steering or my A/C.

also if you dont have the money to get a big intercooler just take off the mettal shroud on the stock TII intercooler and front mount that. you can always change the pipes later for a bigger intercooler.

And faye x7, the car came with it all so you'll have to get over it. I used to live up there by you--so yea YOU could live without AC-- but I don't think you would like it down here in south Texas. But when that p/s unit fails, in goes the CP racing rack and pinion mod.
