i like it! its probably not as low as people want for instagram, but like if you actually need to drive the thing, it works better higher up
if you looked at the race cars from 79-80 they aren't that low

Exactly! It's usable and doesn't rub, or clunk, etc.

A touch lower in the rear would be good but I kinda like the slight rake

The two I bought did not come with a set screw- Carrera literature says this isn't needed but I'm going to drill/tap/add a dog point set screw just in case.

Did you get these installed? I'm now looking at going this route too.

Install + honest review.

I did get them installed.

The spindles shown were actually small bearing (realized when I went to install new wheel bearings) so I chose to modify the large bearing set that was on my car; this meant ordering the weld-on perches from T3.

I utilized KYB Shocks from the rear of a MR2 and used a tiny spacer that T3 supplied when I installed the camber plates, no need to have the shock turned down.

The carrera sleeves are 6" tall I believe instead of the standard 7" so that left a bigger-than-usual gap between the top of the threads and the nut for the shock.

I got an alignment and had the camber set at -1.2°, caster at 3.8° and total toe-in .28°

I love the way the car sits and drives (minus my previously over-adjusted manual steering box, Helix R&P setup coming soon.)

There is nothing wrong with piecing the kit together and it works for my driving style and frequency.

HOWEVER, I wish I had went with BC Racing Coilovers right from the jump. You just can't beat them for the value and this is the route that I'd recommend!

One more question @jdmminot . Do you have a model number for the MR2 inserts? Are they shorter than the factory ones? Thanks again

Ruff,

The inserts I used were KYB #363046, oem replacement shocks from the rear of a 1st gen MR2. I'm not positive on the stroke length between the two, but the autozone shows the compressed length for the MR2 shock at 14-5/8", and the RX7 (#363010) at 15".
