Question coilovers or struts

Okay here is my deal:

I daily drive my rx7 just did single turbo and it has 17x10 in rims on it. Currently has r1 springs with koni adj on mid perchs...

Issue is one shock is blown, and bottoms out and rubs often since i work in the city, i am a spirited driver, and va roads have lots of wholes, bumps and lows...

I was thinking the spring/strut combo by Tokico? or found used set of Tein with the elec. controller(not need but cool)...

I have no idea if coilovers, oem or a/m strut would fit needs better..

I been reading but just more confused..

Suggestion welcome and much needed. Thanks ahead of time!

HELP!!!

What's your budget? For a street car I don't think coilovers are strictly necessary.

You're better off with brand new Tokicos than a used set of coilovers IMO.

Go with the Tokico HTS package with springs. You can always do custom springs from Swift later if you want something different (i.e. more aggressive).

For your price range, I think that's the best option:

i vote for koni yellows.
konis ride better than most shocks (very low 'harshness'), and theyre valved sufficiently for pretty hgh spring rates if you decide to go stiffer in the future.

i currently have koni yellow adj. (3 perch levels and shock firm to soft adj) one is blown

also have used stock oem springs...

ride sucks but no idea on mileage on suspension...

also have lauch kit

springs on mid perch and rub my tires...pull fenders and hit 1/4 panels sum so need to raise just did not want it since need new suspension anyways
