homemade dry sump ??
anybody done one yet ?
it doesn't look to be TOO horribly complex, weld up a new oil pan with pickups to hook to a belt driven centrifugal scavange pump going to a settling tank with a hose leading back to the oil pressure pump.
the most difficult bit seems to be the last, hooking the stock pump up to take a suction on the tank instead of the sump.
anybody seen a nice aluminium belt driven centrifugal pump ?

For what it's worth, the stock system is pretty much like a dry sump.
There is no "piston" slapping into a pool of oil to slow it down.
Unless you are going racing, at 9000RPM+ on a constant basis, there is no need for it.
Increased Oil pressure would be good be good for a healthy performance/track engine though.
