Exclamation Hit My Car

Crap,

Well all good things have to come to an end I guess.

On the way to work dismorning my dad goes to back up, when I hear a BAM from inside in the shower (I cant even hear my stereo when I'm in the shower and that's two 15's).

I get dressed not thinking anything of it and my dad calls me from his work.

Dad - "Hey Eric"
Me - "Hey"
Dad - "I kind of made a dent in the rear left of your car"
Me - "Minor or what?"
Dad - "Uhhh its pretty big"

I go out there and look at it, it's from where the tire ends on the right hand side to the bumper all done from HIS tire in his RX8. His tire isnt even scratched.

I'll take pictures later on but I don’t think I should try to get a new paint job from insurance for this should I?

I know the rates will go up, but how much?

Thanks,
Eric

In my experiance when my Aunt did a VERY similar thing to my Uncles car, no. She was driving a Honda Accord and she was backing down the driveway which is SLIGHTLY curved so if you were to back down from the top right, you would come out the bottem left going perfectly straight. Anyway, she was baking down and backed into his fully restored International Scout II, and put a big crease/scratch all the way down the side under the door all the way to the wheel. Insurance wouldnt cover it because it was private property. Good luck!
