I'll be short and to the point-
how do the freakin high beams on a SA turn on? Where's the switch?

I know they've been on before, but I totally forgot how to do it. I must be getting old.

 

the stalk on the steering column (the same one as the blinkers), pull it towards you.

 

duh, there's a diagram on the left side (stupid me) but the left stalk won't pull toward me. I'll check it out more tomarrow.

 

Try pushing it towards the dash. I have two cars one is towards the driver the other is towards the dash. I forget which is which at this hour.

 

Pull should be passing lights, push should be high beams.

I just went and checked this on my '79 to make sure I have it right. I pull toward me and the brights click on. Pull toward me again and the brights click off. There is no "passing" setting...the stalk does not push forward.
