Question Hey tire size question....

Hey I was thinking about putting 265/35/15 tires on my rx7 (with 15 inch rims of course) now before everyone attacks me I measured the difference between the tires about 7 different ways and it seems like they will fit... every time I search on here everyone seems to think you need some type of body kit to put wide tires on, so is there something I am missing or what?!?

On the rear maybe, the front... no way in hell. 215 up front is about the widest you can go without any major rubbing, 205's already rub the sway bar at full lock...

I have a pair of 275/50 r15 and I put it up to a shell I have, and they stick out about an inch.... and that's pressed against the wheelwell. Mounted they will stick out alot more...

not to mention if you hit a bump the fender will dig into the tire unless you jack up the car.

Overall bad idea, too wide for the stock body and the power that the car has.

it'll slow you down quite a bit.

235 tires look fine and they tuck in on a first gen WITH rolled fenders.

Or if unrolled 225 is what you need.

GOOD LUCK

225's will fit up front without rolled fenders? I though anything wider than 215's would rub. good to know!
