Hey, I just thought of something?!

I am new here so work with me for a minute...

I havn't heard any mention of using nitrous on a rotary. Is this cuz noone does it? if so y not? or am I just missing it?

Nitrous is kinda like the devil...incredibly impowering and suductive... and it will eat your cars soul from the inside out and leave you burned!!

People use it. From what most people have said on here that seem to know what they are taking about, rotaries handle pretty much any/all forced induction no matter what kind. Wether it be turbo, supercharger, or nitrous. I am sure they are other forms also that are not as popular. I am not familiar with nitrous but I do know that you have to use either a wet kit or a fogger system (fogger being the best but also most expensive).

well nitrous is fun. it is a kick in the pants. as for the system, you wanna go with a wet system. do some research on it before you attempt to buy anything. just putting a 50 shot on a wot switch is way worth it. notrous is not a bad thing that eats your car, it's not using it right that can kill things. don't know what set up you have or how old your engine is. but here is a site that will give you some good info on how nitrous works. good luck.

Personally,I think nitrous is given a bad rap because too many people cant control themsleves. They hit it,and hit it,and hit it,and hit it....then one day they hit it at too low an RMP or too high a load and POP goes the engine.
Done right, nitrous is no different than any other forced induction, its just a different delivery system for the same thing...more oxygen. The advantages is that it cools the intake quite well and can be cheaper/simpler than turbo/supercharging.The downside is that the cheaper setups usually cause the problems because fuel delivery isnt properly adressed.Plus the highly explosive/high pressure aspects of the tanks, and you have to refill them, and its not technically legal, and they make speakers for ricers that look like nitrous bottles....................

I was all primed for SC ( and may still do it ), but am giving some thought to going to a RB Holley 600 on my 4 port 13B ( street ported ) and adding Nitrous for additionally spirited romps as needed. I just don't know.

I don't have any experience with any of these systems, but I've been doing a lot of reading lately. I can't wait to get the supercharger going on my 6 port 13B. Compared to a nitrous system, it's always there (no refilling), it's easy to install, there's no ugly tanks taking up space. Compared to turbos, it's easier to install, and it gives a nice kick in the low rpm range, which the rotary can use.

Just my $0.02.

Nitrous ...is awsome cheap HP....!!!
I run 150HP on a plate with a holley 650DP..though we have been the setup for 15 years or so we are now moving to fogger setups down on the lower mannifolds using Gene berg 58-63mm carbs....

But i am working on another top secret mod that will blow this forum up..I will all posted.

The pic below is my buddies car using a 86 motor periphial with the combo above..@175HP nos.. Car ran 5.75 in the 8th mile and acrappy 1.29 60foot...

The key goal in Nos use is keeping it wet..no leanout..and timing..
