Here are my PICS!!!!

Well I took a bunch of pictures of my new rx-7,, I only paid 350 for her,Her motor was taken out along with tranny and I found out this weekend that they had taken stripped out all of the heating and ac components under the dash... After hours of trying to fiqure that out, I've comr to the conclusion that it's staying out, I live in florida.. I can live with out it...

I did have one question the previous owner removed the front cover and components along with the front stationary gear,, Should I not ty to turn the moteor by hand, will the front rotor get damaged...
Well tell me what you all think
Thanks Jose Luis Cruz

Looks pretty clean, nice find. I would clean all the front engine components and re-install. And yes put the stat gear back in before you try and rotate it. Hopefully it'll go back in easy. You dont want to have the gears not mesh, that would mean the rotor isint indexed correctly, not sure how difficult a problem this would present.

Good looking car.

I would give that engine a full tear down and rebuild. If the guts are good then port and reassemble.

Thanks alot
Ya my intentions are to rebiuld, I would love to port but being that I have no clue how, I feel confident in disassembling and rebuilding, but not porting , maybe some one here in florida would do it for me for cash...... But I will worry about that when I get to that point. The previous owner said he started to take it apart because of a front main seal..... Hopefully the guts will be good
I'll keep you all posted

Nice score man. A body that clean would go for a grand in Michigan, even without the drivetrain. Stupid rust....

Yah I forgot to mention the body is sweet for it's year it's suppose to be the original paint but after examining the car the infamous fender well rust has reared it's ugly head, on the out side it looks sweet a little normal surface rust very light but inside the rust has started but I will put an end to that..

That tiny little bit of rust makes it almost a new car. Treat it now and you won't have to look back. You might concider putting the heater core back in just to have a defroster for those foggy windshield times.

Thats baby rust! Just check to make sure it did not get between the sandwhiched metal.

Pick up a set of used Irons to practice on and then the real porting will not be hard to do. You will Love the car much more ported. Really wakes them up.

Nopistons has a porting forum, go read it some.

What a deal. Is that a red leather steering wheel in there, and do you have the leather seats? White with red leather is a nice touch, I've got it in my current daily driver:

And a write up on rust repair, if you are interested:

Good luck with the engine rebuild!
