help wont start

help wont start

so the story goes i did an auto. to man. swap and i hook th pedels up the trns. and the starter but when i go to turn the key..nothing not even the starter clicks. when i when to check power to the starter it said that it was gettin any power. so will someone help. im stuck driving a piston powered car. i want my rotary back

I'm not real clear on what you're saying, but check ALL of your connections. I just fixed a slow-crank problem by cleaning my negative connections. Cranks much better and faster now.

Make sure your connections are correct on your starter. I had this issue too because I didn't check my connection immediately on the starter.

Is there a starter lockout on the auto shifter, on the 85's?

Auto transmissions have an inhibitor switch. There were two wires going to the front, top of the auto transmission. I believe they are Black/yellow and Black/white. Connect these together, starter should get power.

That'd be the "start lockout" I was mumbling about. Makes sure the car is out of gear before starting.

well i hooked those two wires together and still nothing
