Help removing clutch master cylinder nut

Say hello to Mr.Wankel

Just went out and tried a few of the suggestions. No joy. My problem is the space is too confined to turn the tool. The best method for me looks like the rod removal suggestion. Can someone elaborate on how this is done? Looks like the lock nut (item "C" in the FSM illustration) is loosened, then secured, while turing rod (item "D") counter clockwise using vice grips? Is there a better way to remove the rod?

just wiggle it every once in a while while loosening it.

Clutch Master Cylinder Done!
Thanks everyone, clutch master and slave cylinder replacement complete. Here is what I learned from your suggestions:
1. Remove seat - 4 bolts, 12 mm socket (very easy and quick, 3 minutes)
2. Crawl under dash on back with all tools and good flashlight.
3. Remove clutch rod. The FSM does not detail the process clearly, but is easy. Loosen lock nut (12 mm open end or flare nut wrench) then screw out rod using 10 mm open end wrench (rod has provision for 10 mm wrench).
4. Remove upper nut using 12 mm 1/4" 12 mm deep dish socket (offset box end would work).
5. Remove lower nut.
With the seat out, good light, clear view, and correct tools the removal took about 10 minutes. Installation was faster.
Thanks again!

I have taken out or changed a few (at least 2) and I don't remember a problem with it. I probably used a long extension to get at it. In fact I will change one out today when I get home from work.
