How finicky is the seating of the needle valves??? They are driving me CRAZY. I wanna give up on her...so frustrated. Any good carb guys in the Las Vegas area that can stop by and look at it with me?? I have brand new needle valves with oil in them and the floats are adjusted perfectly.

AHHHHHH. So annoying...Carbs are black magic. I wish i was EFI right now. --_--

Was it you or was it another thread that said they replaced the fuel pump? If you're running a non-stock pump, it needs an FPR. I know how frustrating new needles/seats can be. If you're sure the floats are set per spec, leave them alone and keep tapping on the banjo bolts above the needle/seats to work them loose.

Old post, I know, but possible fix

My FB was doing the same thing (flooding through the main horn). I put a pressure hose on the fuel return line and blew it out and has worked fine since.

You mean you shot compressed air into the return line? I did that also when i was having problems one time. It didnt fix my problem (flooding) but it did let me know that the line was not all clogged to hell.

It did not fix my overall problems with flooding while cranking, but it did stop the fuel flowing/flooding into the air horn while the key was on and the motor not cranking.

Upon draining the tank and replacing the filters and pump and blowing out the feed lines, the line was reconnected to the carb. when power was put to the pump, fuel immediately flowed up from somewhere and into the air horn. blowing out the return lines stopped this.
