Help The NOOBIE

OKAY...my car runs great, for a while. After it warms up, I have to be very cautious not to give it too much gas or else it will simply bog down, backfire, and die in some instences . Is this a simple fix(running rich?) or do I have something bigger to worry about?!
BTW
I am quite new to RX7s, so I don't know what the hell the problem is...it is a '79 S...12A...Stick Shift...do you need to know anything else?!

Might be time for a carb rebuild. In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, wiring diagrams and factory carb manuals.

sounds like the accelerator pump's not working properly. so i tend to agree with trochoid, probably time for a rebuild.
