VA Noobie central

As a confirmed noobie, I think it might be worth while to have a room for us, so that we can orient ourselves to the big issues about RX7 ownership. There is a WEALTH of highly specific information about technical minutia that I will surely research, but at this point I am looking for orientation about the RX7 experience and there just doesn't seem to be a central location.

Also, it would be nice to have a place for stickies about how to use the site, minimum post numbers for certain activities and kind of a directory for where to find things and what to do when you get there.

As always, thank you for a fine site, and thank you for the work you do!

And a place to build up your post count so you can do all those things that you need higher post counts to do! Thanks!

We have been contemplating adding this type of section, but it kind of already exists, just not alot of people post in this certain section. It's under General Rotary Tech Support. It's not geared towards specific generations or models, but rather just 'Rotary'.

There is a thread that is sticked in 3rd Generation Specific on how to use the site. Check that thread out. If you have any questions about the site, please feel free to PM me or any of the other moderators. You can view the forum leaders at the bottom of the page, or at the bottom of every section.

And thanks for the praise.

Like I said, we have thought about doing it. Good things come to those who wait.

I put an entry in the "please start charging for membership" thread and it might protect against the most blatant spammers and flamers who might not want to wait for the first few days to get released into the rest of the forum. Obviously there is a lot to think about how to actually do that, but its an idea that might be worth thinking about

Most of the spam gets posted in the Classifieds, and since we Pre-Moderate those sections, no spam ever gets through there. Also, all of the spam is done by a program. It's not like somebody sits there and goes around spamming forums with Iphones, Lingerie, etc. There is some spam that does get posted in other parts of the forum, and if the members of the forum would use the 'Report Post' icon, the moderator for that section will get it taken care of ASAP.
