Help My 12a Stalls

When I got my 79 rx7 it would run get about 2 miles die, and I would have to wait till it cools, then it would start again go about 30 feet and then die. I found the ballast resistors broken and over heating. So I took the distubuter and main wiring harness, off my 80 with a blown moter, and stuck it in the 79. I also took the coils, and all the things that had a different plug ends than on the 79, and stuck them on (mainly vacume and emissions control, and the choke). Now the only place I ran it to was the gas station(1/2 mi.) and then went and raced my friend in a nissan 240sx. I got wooped even with a 3 car length head start. He has lower gears. I ran it hard that day, and it didn't stall. Then the next week I started it and let it idle for 30 min and had a 1/2 a tank. I went down the street and revved it to 6g, and powershifted, and got it up to about 60, and then after 2 and a 1/2 miles or so, it I slowed down to 50 and then rompted on it and got back up to 60 and slowed down to 20 back into 2 gear, tried to get back up to 40 driving regularly and it got up to about 3g and it started bogging down and stalling out, and I thought it was not enough gas so I hit the clutch floored it and it reved to 4g and sputtered almost died came back alive, and then sputtered and died. I waited about 20min and tried to start it (it wouldn't start unless i pulled the choke, then it became use less) it started right up and drove it about 2 miles, back towards home, it did the same thing(sputering dieing.)I thought it was the fuel pump so I turned it on and I heard it so I check the hose by the carb to see if it had pressure(it did) I have new plugs and the cap, rotor, and the wires are good. It smokes if it is reved over 5 and then let off(probably because the oil being injected)and on start up.Is that normal for 110 thousand miles on a rotary? It sat for 9 years if that helps!!!Also it has the 80s tank, newlines, carb, and pump because the gas was gooy!! What is wrong with it. I LOVE this car and want it to be drivable. Help me PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU.

I've heard that rotories don't like sitting around or being overheated. I hope the motor isn't shot. Did you get it compression tested?

Hmmm... I had a problem sort of like that. My 85 has 170k miles on it and it's just fine right now. Did the problem only occur around 0 to 3k RPM? After about 3k my engine would not sputter and die...
But i believe that is something in the carb. I had let my friend drive my car (manual) and sicne he was not used to my clutch, he shook the car around and i think that shaking shook loose some stuff in my carb.
