Help me wire in my CD player!!!

These are my choices for wires. I need to know which ones to run the yellow and the red on my CD player to.

There should've been a 3 pin connector and a 1 pin connector for the radio.

The 1 pin is constant 12 Volts (Hazzard or Room light fuse. I forget which.)

The 3 pin goes to power antenna, illumination, and ignition switched.

If you hold the 3 pin connector up so that it looks like a "U" The left side of the U is the ignition wire. The right side is the illuination. The bottom is the power antenna trigger.

For speakers, you may have to run your own wiring. If there's a 4 pin, it's likely fronts. Rears have a blue connector.

I ran my own speaker wiring already. What you see there is what I have available. All the other plugs are used up.

OK, I just yanked out all the wiring, and I think I found the plug you were talking about. See the red circle. So that should go to the yellow "constant power" wire, right?

The one you circled is correct...

You want the bottom one.... just ignore all the speaker stuff...

You know, always happy to help...

I assume you ran new speaker wires, right?

I have that file saved on my desktop. I referred to it when I answered. In the illustration, I just mentally flipped the 3 pin connector upside down so that I could illustrate it with a capital letter rather than lowercase "n"...

Yes $100T2, that single wire is what you want.

I ended up doing it a little differently, but it works the same. There was a four prong connector that I was able to trace back to the fuse box, so I put two male spades on the yellow and red wires, plugged 'em in, and voila!

Life is good. My interior is almost finished.

That's probably the Tape deck wires... It'll work for the ignition power source, but doesn't have a battery (always on) power source...

I used crutchfields installation harness for the "85 GSL-SE" but the plugs didnt all match up and the ones that did were obviously not the correct wires (turn on car -- nothing!!!). I ended up running my own speaker wires, and using the factory wiring diagram to find the constant and switchable power. What a PITA....

I just used spade connectors crimped on to my CD player harness and plugged into the stock plugs, and I ran new speaker wires...
