Help me think.

Due to reasons beyond my control I will not be replacing the motor in my GSL-SE. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether I should sell it outright (like for 300bucks) or part it out. Have you ever been in this situation, what did you do, what would you do?

Typically, Wouldn't parting it out be a pain in the *** but bring a higher return on the money?

That car is waaaayyy to nice to part out just because the motor took a dump. I bet you could get 1000 for it, with the blown motor.

Georgia. That's pretty deep into the durty durty. I challenge anyone here to take it for 300 bucks, minus the rims ( it has the stock Gsl-se rims and tires) I'm tired of thinking about it. Has everything but the engine.

is the LSD good? I have parted one SE and I am not done with it, Currently at 650 and have a few more parts to sale.

Why cant you put an engine in it? Does it look as good as the pics? How is the interior? Your in the ATL area?

Rims - $400

And no, the car doesn't look that good. That's why I won't put an engine it. See, If I do anything, I go all out. That means I would have to find a new engine, rebuild, streetport, turbo or nos, light flywheel, new cluth and components and paint. RB exhaust, you know , the works. I mean the car looks GREAT for someone who just wants to throw a motor in it and pimp it, but I would have to spend to much money on it to please myself. Add it up, it hurts. Hence, my problem.

Perfect time to just open the motor up yourself and replace the busted rotor and housing and buy the seals at mazdatrix, you could have the car running in less than a week. And you could sell the car for alot more.

OR pick up a used motor off a rx7club member..... ask around on mazspeed.com

Do your best to either repair it and get it running again, or sell it whole. They're not making too many of these any more. Sometimes it's not always about the money, it's about preserving, especially the top of the line 1st gen.

Besides. parting out a decent SE entitles you to a whipping with an oil soaked choke cable.
