Man Bro, can I get some of those carbs to try out if ya just got them sitting there. Or just a nikki so that I can send it to Streling!!

I didnt know that I was going to start another war.

The reason I decided to go with a sterling carb is because:

A) It is good in all around preformance, and meets all of my needs

B) Ive riden in a 7 that has a weber, I didnt like that it bucked when we were just crusing on the highway. If we didnt have a load put on it.

C) I agree with streling, I believe that if there was a carb that was better suited for me, and my needs, he would tell me. I sure just one person not buying one of his carbs is going to break him. No offense sccagt, but that is what Carl & Streling do, they do carbs, So they should know.

D) I have no plans on going turbo in this 7. Im saving that for my "Project 007"

Jealous much? Once again more put downs and baseless accusations from others who do not know anything about me. I only suggested that he use the Weber based on his stated needs. If you feel that the Nikki is a better choice then that is alright with me. I still say the Weber is a better carb. I also am entirely capable of living with your doubts.

Alright, calm down boys. No need for a pissing contest here. Differeing opinions are fine, but quit the name calling and personal inults ok? Dont make me pull out the can of whoopass alright?

And Camocarls right Mel, sell that stuff, its worth a few bucks.

For the record, you may have a hotline to Yaw, (who from all ive seen and heard does excellent work) but for %99 of people including myself, his customer service was non existant. Thats why Sterling and I started working on our own Nikki cause I couldnt get one of his. Also AFAIK Yaw no longer takes orders for his Nikki. As for SDJ, I had an IT racer send me a carb for me to work on, it ran like **** he said. It was an SDJ built IT carb. It was a joke. Built with the knowledge and engineering of a 5 year old. But I cant postiviely say they did those horrible things to that carb as who knows what hamfisted person may have messed with it afterwards. But I can say that my customer was ecstatic with what he recieved back from me as it pulled harder than anyone else. And it was %100 legal.

haha

1 nikki for 1 IDA? or 2 nikkis for 1 IDA? i don't care.

btw no offense to the sterling carbs, but as usual... it's my preference.

you can have all the reasons on the world why this and that is better or not, but at the end of the day, only results will matter.

WOW!! This thread got bigger than I ever expected it too! Over 90 posts and 1,000+ views!

I think we have all learned a good lesson!

It is really about what YOU want. Each carb has its own up's and down's. In the long run its up to you to pick the carb that best fits your application. My advice to any one looking to buy a new carb is figure out what you are going to be doing with the said carb, and find the match that best fits it. It may take awhile, but there is the right carb out there for you!

-Matt

GOt the point man! I personally have never competed in the Special Olympics but dont be so hard on yourself brotha a win is a win. Bro I was just trying to set the record strait. Me personally after trying many different set ups am very pleased with my Dellorto even in this cold *** weather! Again thats my own personal take on this matter. Happy Holidays to all and Merry Christmas to the rest!

Hey DoLuck, I need your help. Got to switch back to my old dual free flowing dual 2.25 exhaust as this crappy full RB exhaust is killing me. Quiet as my neighbors have commented but too darn heavy and restrictive. What a junk!!

You cared enough to post about it. Sticks and stones, you are a real tough guy sitting at your computer showing everyone how intelligent you are. Plus if everyone will go back and read all the posts they will see that YOU recommended the IDA on the second post. Then you changed your mind (photohut chemicals???)
