I'm both honored and delighted when our modded Nikki carbs are considered among the top three choices for the carbed rx-7.

We have a money back gaurantee. That's how confident we are that you will be satisfied with both the performance, and the tuneability of the Sterling Carb.
The Sterling flows 465 cfm- same as Racing Beat's Holley but with tunability that Holley can't hold a candle to. And it offers the low end that only a four barrel can deliver, where the big mouthed Webers suffer.

Holy chocolate-covered christ on a stick!

Sterling makes a reappearance!

Your carb rocks bud! I'm sending mine back to Carl for a powdercoating to replace the old Zinc that was on there when I got it, but I've got to say that it's an amazing piece of work

I decided not to get that Dellorto. So im still in the hunt! I really dont do that much "REAL" (as yall would say) Preformance driving auto-x, drifting, etc..

I guess since its my daily driver:

I am looking to be able to tune and not worry about when the weather changes having to run out and retune my carb. I have a wideband tuner on the way to help this process.

I want straight line power. Im not going to be pulling any High-G's in my non-LSD car ya know. Ill leave the High-G's to the rollercoasters at Six-Flags.

I need alot of fuel as I am running a mild/Large Streetport. So I guess I need a carb with a large CFM number. IDK about this though?

I also want to be able to blow the door off any stupid bright color, decal havin, 2ft metal wing sportin, car that revs at me.

Pretty much I want a carb that is some what low mantantice. (I like to work on my car) I can care less about MPG, Looks sharp, and will help be get the most out of my investment. I spent all that time rebuilding my engine. Now I want to reep the benifits. Oh and blow the doors of RICERS!!

Can yall help Me?

Well for that last %5 youll need to tune any carb daily, but once in the ballpark any carb will run ok year round. Well you know what I'd say, but I am biased.

Everyone has already tried to help you, just get a carb! By the way if it is not an IDA then you will be leaving something on the table. It is the only carb that meets ALL of your criteria. One last time get a Weber 48ida and tune it for your application. Nuff said.

He's gonna be on the street, not the track. That's why a Weber is not his best choice.

Have you read this whole post. 3 of the 4 pages is "my ego is bigger than your ego"

I have decided I will go STERLING. For its all around preformance.

Thanks for all the help and inpt that yall have given me. I took all of it in. Thought long and hard, lost sleep, had several debates, talked to alot of people. Who ever said buying a carb was easy?

I have a 51 IDA Weber, but would go for a Holley if on a budget. It has a problem with hard left turns (autocross-style) that you won't run into on the street, plus they're dirt cheap and easy to rebuild.

51...why not 48..

Yea but these guys are legit! Their work has earned them lots of praise on this board. When it comes to getting Nikki's to perform no one does it better. I've waited for a Sterling carb for ages then decided to go a different route, but still going to get one for my other RX.

well, sorry sccagt3... until you earn some credit on this board your opnion isn't going to mean much over the ones that have proved themselves, unless you bust out some good info. coming in here and just bashing people, claiming they are just out to sell their product, is only going to make you a hater.

rx7 carl and sterling have been in the game a long time. they got in to the nikki business when YAW pretty much stopped. try getting ahold of yaw and see if you even get a response at all.

sdj is great as well but they dont get on this board and help people out.

carl and sterling are here to help and provide a GARUNTEE, so STFU and stick with your weber asshat!

MattG: you will be happy with your choice

I could care less about getting "Cred" from you or anyone else. Don't be so turned on by someones post numbers. You are showing both a lack of maturity and most likely intelligence (spelling?) with your colorful and imaginitive use of name calling and language. Grow up.

My response is to his stated needs for a carb---reread his post. The Weber is the best choice especially when he states resale value.

Btw if I need to talk to Paul, I call him at home. Check the posts, Sterling responded to my post about using a Weber. I did not respond to his.

I think your the one that needs to grow up! Resale value.....where did that come from??? If I missed that on a prior post then ....my bad, but this thread is about suggesting the best carb for Matt g's needs! He decided to go with a Sterling carb. End of story! Now stop hating and move on!

sorrry to all, minus scca guy, but i did not mean to come off like you HAVE to have alot of posts on here to have credit. i just meant that sterling and carl have always been on here to help everyone out and they do a great job on their carbs and deserve credit. people that come in here and are not known by the community and just blast off crap about others on the forum that are known for their quality help don't deserve to be listened to. thats my only beef. again i apologize to everyone.

hey wacky... whatcha doin with those carbs? wanna maybe get rid of some?
