Help me find my old 1980 RX-7!!!
Hey everyone. First post here.
Back in 2002, I was in high school, me and my dad had been building a white 1980 RX-7. This was during the primetime of the fast and the furious popularity so PLEASE dont judge these old ricer-esque photos.
Me and my dad had finished the interior and were going to start on the exterior. Body kit, paint etc. Well, he ended up giving me the car in 2005-2006, and he moved to Texas.
I would love to find out what ever happened to this car. Although im sure it sadly probably saw the junkyard,
These are the only things i know left about the car, and are the only photos i have.
It was a 1980 model, Automatic transmission, White paint, factory cast wheels.
I unfortunately do not have a vin number.
The interior was painted ford blue and black. It had matching racing seats (blue and black, and black carpet.
It had a jensen cd player and lightning audio system and amplifier in it.
Car was perfectly running and driving.
Upon me moving to Texas as well, my step dad sold it for me at a car swap meet / car flea market in Wisconsin for approximately $500 in 2008-2010 without my approval on a dollar amount while i was living in Texas (he had a signed title)
For the past 4 or 5 years, I've been wanting to eventually find an original 84 or 85 GSL, or GSL-SE to fill the hole. But it would certainly give me closure that i know this was rebuilt or finished in some sort of fashion.
Please share this around with any other RX7 groups you may be affiliated with!
Big thanks in advance everyone!!!
Josh N.

Have RX-7, will restore
iTrader: (91)
I have never seen this car on this forum before today. Doesnt mean someone else here hasn't or doesn't own it. Having the vin would help a little. Running a Car Fax on the car would be of great help but you would need the newer 81 and up 17 digit vin. Maybe you will get lucky and someone here owns the car or has seen it or knows what happened to it.

Thanks yall. It would be cool to just hear a positive life for the car, instead of meeting a scrapper or something. I dont expect to get it back anyways, as i live in Texas now plus my heart is really on a Series 3 GSL or GSL-SE. I'd love to get my dad involved in on a new project (since we both live in Texas now) that way i can re-make those fond sentimental memories of us working on a RX-7 again together.
