Help on lug bolts

Alright, Well I'm getting my new wheels put on soon with all new tires. The new wheels came with and have longer lug bolts. Out of all 16 lug bolts, one's damaged. Where can I get a lug bolt like the one in the pics???

The one I need:

Here's a pic of the lug bolts for the mazda + wheels and a lug bolt for the new Hayashi racing wheels I have. The one I need is about a inch and a half bigger than the stock ones. I know its lame question..lol

Where did you buy the wheels and tires? Is it possible that they would sell you another lug bolt?

No, I got them from a buddy of mine. He got them off here in the forsale section a while back. So, I don't know, I need to get another lug bolt real fast cause the new wheels are going on tomorrow or friday. Guess I could run three lug bolts for a little while, but wouldn't be safe.

I've never seen a lug bolt like that. Is it possible they were custom made or something? How badly damaged is the one? it might be repairable.

This is just an idea, but you may be able to go to autozone and find a similar lug bolt. If worst comes to worst could you just replace all 16 of them? Lug bolt sets are usually pretty cheap. About $20-25 if I remember right....

I'm not sure if they are custom made, Can't really tell. I'm pretty sure its not repairable. Some of the threading is completely gone and another part of the threading is like flat.

Ya, I'll have to go check. I'd have to be really lucky I think though.

Why not do what i did and replace the lug bolts with proper lug studs and nuts.

It is sooooooooo much easier to take off and put on wheels.

I don't know guys, guess I'm going to have to run three bolts for the time being. I can't find a bolt that would work. Don't know about studs and nuts, cause that could back out easier. What would you guys do If you were in my shoes?

I've run three before, it's no biggie IMO. Maybe it's just because I live in Alabama... Just make sure you torque em down to 80 ft/lbs.

EDIT::Studs and nuts work fine, most cars use studs nowadays anyway. Loctite is your friend when it comes to screwing in the studs. Bring one of your nuts to the parts house and they should set you up.

double check stud length before purchasing to ensure that they will be long enough for your wheels.

custom bolt

that is a very strange bolt. It looks like it has both a "mag wheel" shank and a tapered seat. You will probably need to get the bolt from the wheel manufacturer.
Have you test fitted the wheel to the car?
You should do that before you mount the tires to be sure the bolt pattern is right. If you have a GSL it should be 4 on 110 mm. Also the bolt looks like it may be so long that the threaded part may extend through the hub so far as to cause other issues. P. S. what tires were you planning to get?

Yes, I've test fitted it and fits great. The wheel is 13x7 and the stockers are 13x5.5 so thats why the bolt is longer. I'm going to run sumitomo 215/55/13s. I'll Look up more and see if i can find the manufacturer. But these are some old school wheels so I don't know.

wheel bolt fitment

The wheel width has nothing to do with the length of the bolts or studs needed. The waffle wheels are thicker at the web area where the bolts are so they take a longer bolt than the keyhole wheels or the Konig Rewinds.
Can you post a picture of the wheels and a closeup showing how the bolts seat in the wheel?
It looks like the threaded part is a bit longer than the bolt for the + wheels. If the bolts seat at the conical area at the end of the thread you may be able to use a bolt from the waffle wheels. If the bolts for your custom wheels seat at the conical area just below the hex you may be able to use a # 6206236 from CWA with a sleeve at the shank area. www.cwausa.com
Check the backside of the wheel for markings that define the size and other details of the wheels. The offset should be marked somewhere on the wheel. Possibly like this "ET 25".
Note that you will not pass tech inspection for autocross with a missing lug bolt. If you do run on the street with a missing lug while you are waiting for the replacement please take it easy.

^^Alrgiht yeah, thats why the bolts longer. It's at the the middle of the wheels where its thicker. The bolt sits at the conical area right below the hex, about an inch above the threading. I'll try and get pics later. I'm also going to go around and try and find a bolt at some stores, and If not I'll have to order. wish me luck, and I'll post some pics of the wheels and car all together, looks amazing.
