WV help loss of oil!

I just bought a beautiful 85 Rx7 ge{Fuel injected?} a week ago, I'm intrigued by the cars lack of pistons but 4 spark plugs?,but I digress, I was happily driving to work and oh #$%^! the oil pressure went to O. I pulled over and shut off the engine later found a oil spray under the engine left side bottom mabe from a ss hose witch I assume is a oil cooler line The car is now towed to a local garage what should I order for him because I'm out hear in WV and parts are hard to find any help would be appreciated

Well you would be best to track down the source of the leak yourself and not leave it to the mechanics, it will be cheaper and often they know NOTHING about rotarys and alot of the stuff they could do will ruin the engine.

A line could have broken, is it a stainless steel line or factory black? There are some common leaks but nothing like what you described. As welll wether or not you engine is FI or carbed is a very important detail. From the sounds of it you have a gsl-se if it is FI but if its carbed then it could be a number of other modles but all those engines are the same.

Sounds like you blew an oil cooler line. Take the line to a hydraulics shop, and they can take the ends off and fab up a new line for you pretty cheap. Just be sure they get the ends pointed in the correct direction.

if you are having a shop replace the lines, STRESS to them NOT, i repeat, NOT TO OVERTORQUE THE LINES when reinstalling them into the cooler. they'll crack the bungs and you will find yourself needing a new oil cooler.

Thanks I do know of a hydraulic line shop are the ends special? I assume metric
