Cool help looking for header

basclly im looking at the racing beat headers they have.....i thought there wa s apost on here talking about shot primarys or long or somthing...i didnt know if they were going along with this..what would be the best header if i am to be using my car for daily drive use to make noise at school parking lot and to rarely use in autox???i was thinking about using the longer one (since it has one pipe) and cutting my catpipe that i already have and weld a flange back on so i can still use the catpipe i bought from them.....

headers

the long ones are for ported engines making higher rpm hp, if you plan to get the motor ported someday then go with those. If not stick with the regular ones. As
far as putting in the cat replacement pipe instead of the preslicencer, you will more
than likely get pulled over for noise violations. It will be way too loud for the street.
If you ran something like a glass pack, it would still be loud and burn up in a very short amount of time. The best thing to run is RB complete system including the muffler which all combined will net you the most amount of hp and take away the
noise and still give it that throaty sound. rx7doctor

I have RB header, presilencer, and muffler and it works/sounds nice ,but its not cheap $$$$$ Save a few bucks and get a lower priced header and muffler but stick with RB presilencer that seems to eliminate a majority of the noise.

I had both RB headers. One for stock engine & for street ported. You get a single for you stock engine that dumps into a single RB presilencer. The other is for a SP engine that goes duel to 2 presilencers.

If you're concerned about noise violations you should use either a chambered muffler or at least two presilencers. My setup was intially a single outlet RB header into a single RB presilencer which then dumped into a Magnaflow 1 in 2 out muffler. The car was LOUD. My GF could hear me coming from at least two kilometers away.

I got pulled over, so I had to install another presilencer. I just tossed a generic in there to get around the fix it ticket and the car was quieted down quite a bit, for about two weeks. Then the packing went out of the presilencer and it got a bit louder, but still not as loud as before. At 3k I think I'm pushing 90 dB, which is 5dB over the limit.

I think the road race header sp system will work just as well on a stock port engine, if you collect it into a presilencer before the muffler it shouldn't be any louder than the collected header into a presilencer. (I don't even have a header, just going from what Iv'e read)
On the RB sp system, the muffler is the collector, thats why you need two presilencers, to have the longest primaries.

I got an extra RB presilencer that I'll let go for cheap if you're interested. PM me if you want it.
