Need Help with jet size for Weber DCOE 48mm side draft

Hello everyone I am new to the board. I am from Tennesse and have been building Hondas for the past 3 or so years, so this Rotary thing is extremely weird and new for me, as well as the carb thing.

Anyway, I currently have a Dellorto DHLA48mm Side Draft. It runs like crap and I can't seem to get it adjusted right, not to mention the fact that you can't get parts for it anymore.

I am trading it for a Weber DCOE 48mm side draft.

My question is: What jets do I need? My list of mods is down below. The only things I can think of that are not in my sig are that the exhaust has a silencer (aka: resonator) and a magna flow muffler.

With the setup I have what jets should I run in the Weber?

Your help is much appreciated.

I would also love to talk to a couple of you RX-7 guru's over the phone about just general aspects of the rotary and the setup I have. Also I would like to know if anyones knows of a shop in Memphis or Nashville that is good at tuning cars such as mine.

Thanks everyone,
Jesse

I would try F11's with 200 main jets to start with 65F9 for your idle jets... ask around for the other stuff... kewl brohaun

Thanks,

Since I am new to this I just thought I would see what others have to say and compare the results, but since you guys seem pretty confident that- that set up will work that's what I will go with.

Thanks again,

Jesse

it's atleast a great starting point. you may have to fine tune a tad more, pending on your area. magnets are a go.

Yeah your street ported too, which helps alot. Im running that combo, but with 180s but im not street ported and I seem to be rich all over the power band, gas milage sucks too.

I just have a hard time understnading what effects what in the jetting. Like what about air correctors? Nobody talks about those

I'm half way thinking about just taking the car to a tuner, cuz I dont wanna spend all the money guessing on jets and whatnot.

You can get parts for the dellorto, you just haven't been looking in the right places. Second, I have a dellorto carb same as yours and it runs just fine. Actually the dells are suppose to be more tuner friendly than the webers as they are a knock off of the weber with some improvements. I don't know why you can't get it adjusted, But simply changing carbs isn't always the magical fix. Every carb needs to be adjusted according to the vehicle it is applied to. Anyways, www.cbperformance.com has parts for the dell as well as a couple other places but now i'm at a loss as to the links to those sites.

Yea it's way harder to find parts for the weber than the dellorto. Weber has been on strike in spain for a year and a half now and nothing is being made by them. Carbs are running near $1000 in some areas now. Personally Iwish I'd gone with a 48 instead of the 45, but what ever.. And the sugestions he gave you for the jets is what i'd go with. Also not to be a d!ck, but the search link on the forum is a great resource just try typing DCOEand see what comes up.
