Angry Help I am expireing!

My maz hates me! She has started to falter and die as the light turns green. No I am not flooring it, the tach says 1000 at idel, I try to ease it on and the darn thing dies, Not hot rodding or light jumping. it just dies, wait while everyone honks at me , try two or three times to start it , finally it starts and runs and the rest have cussed me out or laughed at the old fart in the funny looking wanna be sports car that wont go. Paranoia is beginning to set in. any of you evil geniuses have any really good ideas? I think it's out to get me.

I know what the problem is!!! You're procedure it ALL wrong! You're not starting from a stop light correctly. Don't ease into it!!!!!! Rev it up to about 4k RPM and dump the clutch. That'll getcha goin' for sure. Of course that won't solve the cusing problem. lol

I'd start by changing the fuel filter as they're cheap and should be a part of regular maintenance anyway.

Also check the accelerator pump. You can do this by removing the air filter lid and operating the throttle by hand. You should see too strong squirts of fuel into the primary (smaller) barrels of the carby.

Richening the idle mixture up slightly might help as well.

Sounds like you just don't have enough power. Either that or it ends up flooding itself out when the accelerator pump fires its gas into the carb when you get on the gas even a little bit. The AP could be out of adjustment.

BTW, your thinking about it all wrong. The 7 isn't a funny looking wanna be sports car, it's a sexy looking full out sports car.

Yeah, and besides that you aren't even very old.

Check your vacuum hoses.

Right now i'm experiencing the same thing almost because I have crap in my gas tank still. My filter clogs easy, then it acts real gay. I changed it every 50 miles so far since I just got it on the road.
