HELP gas pedel wont go down

HELP gas pedel wont go down

i press the pedel and it just goes down like a 1/4 of an inch, and i cant see whats stoping it, any ideas

check to see if the throttle cable linkage is caught. probably where you really cant see underneat everything. get a little mirror and check. also that little plunger thing on the back of the carb, make sure it's pulled out and over the little hooks. i know this isnt a good description buti'm in a hurry. sorry

ok, i cant see anything thats not hooked up...if i push down on the throttle thingie(where the throttle cable attaches) i cant get it to go down any further!!

Theres also a stopper bolt for the pedal. Maybe it came loose?

like in the car under the pedel?? b/c it seams to be that when i push on the throttle thingie(the thing the throttle cable is pulling) that it doesnt want to go that far...

Yes, theres 2 adjustments at the pedal. one is the full throttle stop.

Uhhhh Take off your air cleaner housing and look at your carb at the back. Look at all the mechanisim (im assuming NIKKI)
there should be a leaver that catches a cable and the cable has 2 nipples on it and just rests on this leaver if that cable is off, throttle wont go all the way down from gas peddle

^^^ i want to get driving!!! anyone else know anything before i figure out how to get the carb off? never done that before, this is my first carbed car

Remove the air cleaner housing. On the back of teh carb look at the linkage. At the aft end of the shaft linkage is a tab that a plunger sits on. Push on the tab to actuate the throttle there and see whats binding it.
