Help Electrical

Ok this is what is going on, my car is making a loud beep noise.. It is constant. It stated after I drove my car and parked it. It does this stupid noise even when the car is off. Thats how I first heard it. I came out to get my wallet and the car was making a loud beeeeeeep noise. COming from the interior like right behind the heater controls/ stereo area. I un hooked the battery to see if it was electrical and obviously it went away. And it stays away for about 2 days and then comes back.. I am getting pissed off. About to rip my dash apart AGAIN. Anyone have any ideas. I have gone through the take the battery cable off thing like three times it keep coming back two days later. It just developes while the car sits somewhere. WTF?

Sounds like the low coolant warning beeper, but that should only come on when ur low on coolant and when the car is on.

unless u have some bad wiring and its just comming on for no reason

Check the oscillator for the low coolant circuit, it's located right behind the driver's side headlamp. It actually looks like a small black relay, held on by one screw. Mine was full of corrosion and caused an intermittent buzz and it took me forever to find out what was the cause. Let me know if it solves your problem, I know that not too many people have had problems with that part.

The buzz isn't coming from anywhere in the engine. It is all from inside the car. I will check it out when it happens again. I am going to pull fuses and see what circuit it is on to narrow it down.

Still, check the oscillator as French RX7 says..... The oscillator doesn't produce sound at it's location... it just generates it, then the sound is emitted within the cab.

Yeah, what enigma32 said, the oscillator activates the buzzer inside the car, behind the instrument cluster.

I have narrowed it down to being the in the hazard fuse circuit. THe one that controls the clock, radio, and obviously the hazard switch on the cluster. This is on an 85. GOing to pull it apart again to see what I can find.

this will probably sound stupid...but maybe it's your seatbelt buzzer
when i had an FB whenever i started it the buzzer would go on for a few seconds, then go off...regardless if i put it on or not
maybe it's that...

good luck though
