Awfully smooth if it is... I haven't had one that could free rev at ANY engine speed without stuttering like a SOB. 8000rpm and it still stutututututut...

My EFI half bridges were the same way... stututututut unless you were loading it, at any speed...
That is why I won't bother with half bridge anymore, the street manners are the same but full bridge makes more power everywhere.

If that were a BP, that holley would sound a lot different free revving. Even half bridges sound like broken engines with large 4 bbl's on them. They sputter, and buck and kick. At idle the RPM rises and falls and the signal a a holley carb receives from a BP tends to make a rich condition at idle that likes to get plugs wet and add a complete other idle condition, where it seeks up and down and then regulates.
Although, it does seem to have RB holley linkage and also appears to be one of their 465's judging by the secondary diaphragm.
Studying that, I also see a white pump cam. and just fyi, the white pump cam is the one RB uses for stockport 12A carbs...
It could be a nice port, but I don't know if its a "bridge" port really. Those RB carbs dont even have exchangeable air bleeds, so getting one to run so nicely from just jet changes is damned impossible. My guess is a large SP with the (Converted) SP 465.

I am trying to get ahold of him again but he stopped texting me again. First time he wanted $2500 for it but since i am 7 hours away i told him i couldn't make it down there till mid september he said okay then when i texted him again but he wanted to keep it so he raised it to $3000 which i still think is fair but when i asked about who worked on the engine he stopped responding. I swear i have the worst luck on these rx7's lol.

I guess it really depends on what you want, a cheap car with who knows what type of problems, or one that has been sorted out and you can have some level of confidence about it's condition.

The amount spent on a sorted, accurately represented car and amount you will spend on a "bargin" full of unknowns will be different. You will spend more on the bargin full of unknowns.
The diry secret of the car game is that completed/restored/sorted cars sell for 50% of what they cost to build. Race cars are worse.
Continue to be patient but realize you get what you pay for.
