Heart Transplant Successful! Well....almost
In case you didn't know, I had an exciting experience driving home from school one day - an apex seal cracked on the rear rotor of my 85 12A. I decided to order a new engine and install it myself. Anyway, after many weeks of hard work, I started the car up today. With a cloud of smoke and a roar, it came back to life (after messing with the idle mixture screw a tad). It drives great and sounds awesome!
The problem is that the tachometer doesn't work. It did work until I parked it for the engine transplant. Any ideas? TIA.
BTW - Thanks to all who have helped me get my car back on the road.

Ok, I'll check the coils out. The connections do look a little rusty, but then again, it was working prior to when I parked it.
I'm also using the old distributor that was on the old engine. I'll check out the contacts on the ignitors and spray some contact cleaner on them.
