headliner replacement?

As you all can imagine my car needs lot of work on it, also I noticed the headline in the cabin is ripped and sagging. Where can I get a replacement? Can I get a replacement?

If you are careful they can be removed from a parts car. Be careful removing the clips, a putty knife and screwdriver help to get behind the material and lift the clip.

None but a junkyard car or time to get some new material on there like I'm doing (haven't had much time to work on that). does your car have a sunroof or not?

Headliner installation tip

I just put a headliner in a different car (1st time). One hint that was given to me that I found very useful:

Get yourself a bunch of binder clips to stretch out and position the headliner before you reach for the glue! You can 'test install' the whole thing this way and then just glue 1 section at a time.

HTH,

James

I wonder how much it would be if you dropped it off at a headliner shop?

The stock liner isn't glued, it's clipped in. And given that there are probably more good liners sitting in the junk yards than ignition ignitors, I'd check there first (I hae two sitting in the storage shed). Find it, take it out carefully, then put it into your car, should work great.

I have a spare burgandy liner from a non-sunroof car. If you were nearby I could re-upholster your current liner for you, I used to work in a shop that installed aftermarket sun-roofs and re-upholstery was a part of the game.

Stu, have I got a liner for you. All you've got to do is like brown and moon roofs and show up on the 4th.

I think I could dye it. Headliners are expensive though...

I will however, take any black interior door handles if you have any. I think I can scrounge up a few bucks.
