Check to make sure that your headlight motor is moving or TRYING to move when the lights are turned on... if it's just sitting there, your headlight motor is probly shot. I have one I just removed from my car two days ago that works perfectly if you want it = cheap. I guess $25 shipped?

I'm doing a flush-mount setup right now.

Try to grease up the pivoting parts. If they are a little rusted they might stick. I don't know, just a thought.

whoops my brain farted...

on top of the headlight motor there is a rubber boot, remove it. There should be a ****. Turn that with the lights.. if it moves then its somewhere in the wiring thats not part of the motor. Make sure all the contacts for the headlight system are clean. Take the relay off the working side and place it on the side with problem.. does it work? if so you just limited your problem.. its in the combination switch or the relay. If not then more likely it could be on the wiring harness or in the combination switch. Check your wiring harness for nicks and cuts. If thats ok.. then make sure every grond is making good contact. If thats ok then most likely the problem lies in your combination switch.

Get a multitester something from fluk is good. As long as you can test for voltage and resistance(ohm, continuity, ect ect..) Also get yourserlf a good copy of the electrical schemetic for the car. You can get that somewere on the net. I don't have a link, I am sure someone does. Make sure the signal for bring the motor up and down are sent from your combination switch.

thats enough information to get your started.

The odd thing is that the motor worked great until we had the rubber boots off and I messed around with that ****. When I had the headlight toggle switch down(I think), I could turn the **** down, and then the motor would kick in and flip tp half open again. Hope that can narrow the problems down.
