Headlight problem

I've searched the forums and could find nothing. I'm trying to find the retainers to hold the rod between the motor and the light, ya know, the little 3/4'' plastic rings.

I've tried the local NAPA, AutoZone and the local Schucks nobody has them and I sure ain't going to the local dealership, I don't want them to have all my money.

Thanks,
Eric

So those little pieces of plastic are called headlight rod bushings??? I don't need the rods just the bushings.

I made my own out of plastic tube, cut it , slit it , snap it on. or use large diameter soft wire.

I am under the impression you have to buy the Whole ARM assy. The inserts are not sold separately by Mazda...at least, they are not listed as separate in any of the OEM parts books...

HA! Stole all four off of my old 80' GS (sitting in friends field collecting dust)

Anyway, went to install them and couldn't get the rods to snap onto the retainers while on the motors, how do I get this acomplished?

Second, when I pulled it out of the shop I flipped the lights on and heard the motors working, later (about an hour) I tried again and got nothing. This was the first time they've worked since I've had it. checked all the connections, but I'll try them again....what else could it be?

Thanks
Eric
