Not sure of your current set up but orginally the Rx-7 (1st gen) came with sealed halogen headlamps, 7" if I recall correctly.

yes, look on ebay there is a euro diamond conversion out there that sets it up with the h4 bulb. i personally have it and it's actually very very nice. looks WAY better, and is brighter and has the nice white/bluish tint.

*edit* WOOT THIS WAS MY 500TH POST! yayyyy

Baush Makes a nice H4 conversion kit. I have it installed in my car. It allows you to install H4 style bulbs, and maintains the stock look. You can also put in other bulbs if you like. It was like $80.00 Canadian and comes with the bulbs. 10 min to install. Gives a nice bright light (compared to stock).

Best of luck

I know the Victoria British catalogue has a conversion kit that will allow you to use bulbs instead of replacing the assembly, not sure what H4 is though, or if the VicBrit ones are that...

Get a Victoria British Catalogue.. it's free, it gets delivered to your door seasonly, and it opens you up to a wealth of parts and diagrams.. Well worth the $0 investment I know they made some money off me in brake parts!

Vipernicus, H4 is a type of lightbulb. It is the non sealed beam type bulb that goes in newer cars. The "assembly" you are talking about is just a light bulb. You remove it and throw the hole thing away and put a new one in, lens and all. The H4 conversion allows you to keep the lens and just replace the bulb, however the light does still have to be disasembled and then re assembled. Another bonous of this is (as Manntis pointed out when I posted the same question) is that if your standard headlight lenes gets broken then you are out a head light. If the lens from the conversion kit gets broken and the H4 bulb is intacked you still have a head light. I knda got off topic a bit but I hope that helped answer your question.
