Hey i got a 83 rx7 and im going to get a borla muffler for it and i already got a bonez race pipe. When im looking at headers on racing beat i see the streetable and then i see the road race and i dont know which one to get. The motor isnt ported or anything has the stock air intake and carb on it. Im plannin on increasing my piping size to somwhere around 2.25 or 2.5. Am i looking at any problems with doing that?

 

Go with the race one, that way you'll be ready for any future upgrades. 2.25" is fine for a later streetport. If you have future turbo plans, you'll be redoing the exhaust anyway.

For a stock port 12a, a Street Header from RacingBeat would be the best choice in your situation. I see you have a single pipe back, so it would be cheaper for a shop to connect your header to the bonez cat pipe if needed. The road race header is an awesome header, but you have to go from single pipe to true duals, more $$ if you want to spend it.

 

No im not planning on doing anything else to the 12a. Im just wanting to get it a lil faster so i can have fun driving it until the turbo 2 swap
